A Dyte of Womenhis Hornys

Editorial Notes
9 golde] stonys Laud 683; Ashmole 59, Cambridge H.h.4.12, Trinity R.3.19, and Rawlinson C.86 all replace stonys with golde. While the other manuscripts were not available to us to confirm, the collation printed in Henry Noble MacCracken's edition indicates that all other manuscripts also contain 'golde.' Within a list of specific 'attyres' of great value, it seems odd to use the generic word, 'stonys.' Not only does 'golde' fit the discussion of jewelry, but it also carries forward the motif from line 5.
